Birch Floating Shelves

This newly renovated home was located in Houston Heights. The birch floating shelves were added to a remodeled kitchen to give the homeowners additional storage. The shelves were constructed with birch plywood and trimmed out with birch hardwood. Each shelf got finished with a few coats of polyurethane for extended protection. We used 1/2” steel shelving brackets and PL glue to anchor each of the shelves to keep them from “floating” away.
